Makeup:words of wisdom from a departed 8th grader

Upon leaving PMS, i decided 2 leave these valuable makeup tips for future middle school girls. And remember...PANTHERS RULE!!!
***
Eyes: use colors that will enhance the sub-colors in ur i-balls. 4 example. Green will bring out the green and gold in brown eyes. Shimmery pastels will accentuate blue eyes. Green eyes look edgy with subtle browns.

Lips: don't use coral gloss! it makes ur teeth look dirty. if ur skin has "cool" tones (brown) than use a clear orange tinted gloss. Wierd but true. 4 yellow tones, use clear gloss. If ur skin is "warm" (pinkish hues) than u can go crazy! but again, stick with pink or brown tinted gloss.

Eyeliner: use a pencil for the bottom, and if u use black lightly it will give u an edgy look. If ur upper lashes are short, then use a liquid liner! Heres a useful tip...if u make the pencil line on ur lower lid thicker at the edge it is a quick way 2 make the "smoky" look.

Nails: Use neutrals!!! sheer colors r ur best bet. use bold colors if u like, but b careful not 2 put them on too thick.
***
Remember-ur makeup should accentuate, not overpower, and make sure the shade of color ur using co-operates with ur skin color! Have Fun!! PS...if u don't have cheek or brow bones, or if u have a wide nose, check out high beam by benefit...it works wonders! :P

End of the Year

The End of the Year...
Moving on towards a brighter, more exciting future.
Growing up in impossible, invisible, inevitable ways.
Taking the time to change just enough to matter.
Caring for friends, family, and yourself in a whole new way.
Saying goodbye to one year and hello to another.
Welcoming new ideas, wonders, and smiles.

I would like to say that I think the sixth grade did wonderfully this year and we all deserve such a great seventh grade year!

Also, we're all sad to say goodbye to the eighth graders, and I speak for everyone when I say good luck and we'll miss you!!!!!!!!!!!

Paradise, a descriptive poem

Paradise should be relaxing and your body should feel like its melting away. Paradise should be awakening and your body should feel invigorated.
Paradise should feel like a long, long sleep and your mind should be in other places.
Paradise should feel like a long, long run and you mind should feel numb and silent.
Paradise should be a cool pond in a desert and your body should be swimming.
Paradise should be a ho fire in a blizzard and your body should be relishing heat.
Paradise should feel like a paradise.

Oh the Places #2

In London you live in trees
In Paris you ought to be able to walk w/ ease
In Afghanistan you must have a gun
In England you say oh don’t bang your knees
In Pescadero there is room for every one

A Quote for Us All to Understand at This Time

"Losing a loved one is like walking up the stairs in the dark and thinking there's one more step. There is a moment of dark, sickly surprise as you foot falls through the air." --Lemony Snicket, The Reptile Room
